Trade Corporation of Regensburg and Augsburg

Astrid Wührl was affiliated as a lecturer at the Trade Corporation in Augsburg and Regensburg. There she teaches in EU supported intensive training programs as part of a course in painting and varnishing. This vocational program aims at awakening the creative powers and teaching the kind of traditional painting techniques, which are not usually included in the standard curriculum.

Course Content and Aims

These courses are an introduction into the art of historic and modern painting techniques. Basic steps and materials are explained and demonstrated. These courses teach the most important techniques and help the trainees towards self-sufficient working techniques. In the practical training, each participant is looked after individually. They train and develop their abilities by being given fictitious customer orders which they have to deal with by themselves.  After having participated in various courses the trainees are qualified to take the Tradesman's test.

Adult Education

Astrid Wührl teaches "Mediteranean Painting Techniques for the Domestic Area" in various adult education institutions and at the Vocational Schools of Landshut, Regensburg and Schwandorf.
